I’m starting this part time project for numerous reasons that I might add later. The main reason for the business however is to educate people about money and help them with controling their money. Money can be almost a taboo subject and sadly as a result many people ignore it and don’t learn how to manage their money.

Mission Statement

I am a bookkeeper by profession, with a passion for personal finance, and a self-appointed CFO for my families household treasury. I have heard many people struggling with their finances, being stressed about a bill or feeling inadequate by being unable to afford something. I felt helpless being unable to help others with their financial stresses. This caused me to start Helland Finance LLC with a goal to help 10 families in 2021 gain the knowledge and confidence to conquer their money problems and become the CFO of their own household.

Am I qualified to help you improve your financial know-how?
Maybe. I can honestly say I do not have a college degree for budgeting or personal finance, but most personal finance math is simple, behavior changes are the hard part. After the budget is made I want to help adjust it to optimize your money to go towards your personal goals, and show how incremental changes can build into a huge nest egg in the future.
Additionally I am a CFEI (Certified Financial Education Instructor). I got this certification to help you feel more comfortable working with me.
Additionally I strive to constantly learn more about personal finance.

Why do I charge for financial coaching?
Because
I charge for several reasons. Someone who pays for help is more committed. This extra commitment helps them work harder to achieve their goals. That makes my job more fulfilling because I get to help someone who is more receptive and responsive because you are in a part of your life where you are more willing to take action. Additionally I very busy between being a husband, a father and an employee. Because of this I am unable to devote much time to this business. By charging I will be able to better justify my time spend, and hopefully devote more time, helping others with their money problems.
